Croatia holidays 'affordable and luxurious'

Croatia holidays are becoming increasingly popular as the country is "beautiful, affordable and luxurious", according to a CNN journalist.

Ami Angelowicz told the Croatian Times that these factors have turned the country into the destination of choice for "jet set holidays".

She claimed that one of the factors contributing to the popularity of Croatia holidays is the bad press that has recently emerged around Dubai, which has encountered serious debt problems.

Adriatic cruises and other trips could prove popular in the near future when Croatian Dream, a new resort development, is completed.

The complex will feature several attractions that travellers will be able to experience, including a marina and a golf course.

It is located north-west of Dubrovnik, a destination that holidaymakers can visit during Adriatic cruises.

Other locations worth visiting include the islands of Hvar, Vis and Korcula, as well as the historic and culturally rich city of Split.
