Croatia cycle holidays: Travellers becoming more adventurous

British people are becoming increasingly adventurous and are seeking fulfilling experiences when they go abroad, according to Frances Tuke, a spokeswoman for travel industry association Abta.

Croatia sail and cycle holidays could provide people with the "authentic" experiences Ms Tuke claims this new breed of travellers are searching for.

"We have become more adventurous, essentially, and we are looking for a little bit more when it comes to travel," she said.

"We want personal fulfilment, we are not just looking to flock and drop onto the beaches - we want a lot more than that."

However, the Abta spokeswoman also pointed out that relaxation is still an important aspect of going abroad, with many people taking overseas breaks simply to "get away from work".

Croatia sail and cycle holidays allow travellers to combine the excitement of an adventurous trip with visits to peaceful islands such as Hvar, Solta and Brac.
