EU discussions 'could boost Croatia holidays'
Officials in Croatia have been debating the country's chances of joining the European Union (EU), which could provide a boost for Croatia holidays.According to the Croatian Times, the nation's ambassador in Austria, Zoran Jasic, joined a platform discussion this week to talk about the matter.
The conference took place in the Austrian city of Eisenstadt, where attendees examined the potential advantages and opportunities associated with EU entry.
If Croatia does join the 27-member union, as is widely expected, it could enjoy a number of economic benefits.
Tourists planning Croatia sailing holidays may find that this results in a flood of investment in popular destinations like Dubrovnik and Split, as well as up and coming holiday hotspots, bringing a host of new attractions to the country.
Croatia is already a popular destination for overseas breaks. It was recently named as one of the world's ten most affordable holiday hotspots by the German language Yahoo! Travel Magazine.
