Croatia holiday ideal for activity holiday lovers

Travellers wanting to explore a range of sports activities might find that a Croatia holiday is ideal, according to one regional expert.

Meri Matesic, the director of the Croatian National Tourist Office, said: "In one day, within a few hours you can sail, dive, go on the beach and in the next hour you can do mountain walking, biking, hiking, or whatever you want to do.

"There are really a lot of advantages to Croatia."

Those keen to go on a Croatia sailing holiday or cycling adventure will also find that there is a lot to enjoy in the eastern European country while winding down.

According to Ms Matestic, Croatia enjoyed a three per cent increase in tourism from the UK during the recession, reflecting the destination's continuing popularity and value for money.

Recent additions to flights from Manchester and London Stansted mean that a Croatia holiday can be the perfect impulse weekend get-away.
