Croatia sailing holiday travellers should make sure they take the opportunity of diving in the country's "unspoilt waters".

According to Hello magazine, the Dalmatian coast is fast becoming one of the most popular destinations in Europe for under sea adventures.

Though many of the major shipwrecks are protected, divers have a huge terrain to explore, which includes caves, undersea historical wrecks and areas near islands which are almost completely isolated from elsewhere.

Recommendations from the magazine's travel writers include the island of Mljet, where divers can see the remains of a third century Roman ship, as well as the Brijuni Islands, which is located near the wreck dubbed the "Titanic of the Adriatic".
