Travellers urged to see Zadar on Croatia holidays

Travellers looking forward to a Croatia sailing holiday this year have been encouraged to take the opportunity to visit Zadar.

The Croatian National Tourist Board has highlighted some of the attractions and experiences on offer in the city, such as the recently launched open-top bus tour.

Visitors can board the bus to see some of the fascinating historical landmarks located throughout Zadar, which is famous for its churches and old town.

People planning to visit the destination can also check out its sea organ and a unique lightshow that is powered by tidal and solar energy.

Zadar recently enjoyed a boost in profile when it played host to Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker and her basketball player husband Tony Parker.

The Croatian National Tourist Board highlighted other famous destinations that travellers can visit during an Adriaticcruise, including Dubrovnik, where visitors can go for a ride on the new mountain cable car.
