Croatia 'a top choice for sailing holidays'

Croatia sailing holidays are a good option for people who want a sense of adventure and excitement from their break, a travel expert has suggested.

Ian Bradley, a spokesman for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, said that Croatia is one of the countries people are most likely to visit if they opt for a sailing break.

Mr Bradley also commented on a general trend in the travel industry towards more active pursuits and away from lazing on the beach.

"People just want to do more on their holidays; they feel like it's wasted if they just sit on the beach for two weeks," he said.
