Croatia holidays 'offering good bargains'
Croatia holidays have been recommended for British travellers planning to treat themselves to a bargain break before the summer comes to an end.International Currency Exchange (Ice) revealed that the Croatian kuna is now its third most ordered currency, behind only the euro and the US dollar.
People taking Adriatic cruises and other trips to the country in the near future will see the benefit of recent exchange rate trends, with the value of the pound rising 2.94 per cent against the kuna over the past year.
Joanna Williams, head of marketing for Ice, said eastern European destinations are "really giving the traditional European hotspots a run for their money" and highlighted some of the experiences on offer to people taking Croatia holidays.
"Dubrovnik, on the Adriatic coast, promises an Indian summer in September, October and November with balmy sea, sunny beaches and barely any rain," she said.
Holidaymakers can visit other popular destinations in the region such as Split, Hvar and Makarska.
