Discover 'hidden treasures' on a Croatia holiday
A Croatia holiday is the ideal option for travellers who enjoy searching for 'hidden treasures', according to a spokesperson for the country's tourism industry.Meri Matesic, UK director of the Croatian National Tourist Office, described the nation as an "undiscovered Mediterranean destination" characterised by its cuisine and hundreds of beautiful islands.
She also highlighted the benefits of taking Adriatic cruises and other breaks in the country in September and October, when the weather is more comfortable and tourist locations less crowded.
"As Croatia has a mild Mediterranean climate, September and October are still very pleasant to travel around," Ms Matesic said.
"It's not that hot, not overcrowded but very enjoyable especially for those who like discovering hidden 'treasures'."
Oneoption for people who want to seek out someof the country's lesser-known attractions and destinations is to take a Croatia sailing trip and explore peaceful islands, secluded beaches and historic villages.
