Hvar and Korcula are 'beautiful islands' in autumn

Hvar and Korcula are beautiful islands in autumn Those planning a Croatia holiday may want to visit the islands of Hvar and Korcula as they are said to be very attractive in autumn, according to a travel expert.

Writing for The Seattle Times' website, Carol Pucci responded to a reader's query about which islands to visit while on a Croatia holiday in October.

Commenting on Hvar and Korcula, Ms Pucci said:

"The easiest islands to visit between Split and Dubrovnik are Hvar and Korcula, both fine choices any time of the year, but especially relaxing in the fall after the tourists have all gone home.

"Fall is a beautiful time of the year to visit Croatia, but keep in mind October is offseason, and transportation will be more limited than in summer," she added.

The expert traveller writer also advised on how to spend time on the islands.

"You could spend a day or two exploring the Renaissance architecture of Hvar Town. Then, move onto Korcula, a charming town with lots of historic sites, walking trails and museums."ADNFCR-2466-ID-800096986-ADNFCR
