'Good potential' for post-season Croatia holidays

Good potential for post-season Croatia holidays There is 'good potential' for Croatia holidays in the months after the peak summer season, according to tourism minister Damir Bajs.

Mr Bajs said that post-season tourism could be particularly strong this year following positive results for July and August, which are the most important for the country's travel sector, the Croatian Times reported.

The minister also said that people taking Croatia holidays should continue to be well served and catered for in the late summer and autumn months.

"We mustn't be prematurely euphoric, but we must work to the end of the season," Mr Bajs said.

"Our guests must receive good service and a smile inthe post-season."

Mr Bajs and Croatian prime minister Jadranka Kosor recently met with Taleb Rifai, secretary general of the UN World Tourism Organisation, to discuss the performance and future of the industry.

Ms Kosor expressed her full support for the sector, meaning travellers taking Adriatic cruises and other breaks in Croatia will continue to benefit from investment in new facilities and services in the coming years.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800045286-ADNFCR
