Croatia holidays: Angelina Jolie set to make film in Bosnia

Croatia holidays: Angelina Jolie set to make film in Bosnia People planning Croatia holidays might be interested to hear that Angelina Jolie is set to make a film in neighbouring Bosnia.

The movie will be the Hollywood megastar's directorial debut.

Jolie was recently granted permission to shoot part of the film in Bosnia, with authorities withdrawing an earlier ban.

The government had expressed concern over the production following complaints from a women's group that the story features a Bosnian rape victim who falls in love with her attacker.

Bosnian culture minister Gavrilo Grahovac gave the green light to the film after reading the full screenplay.

Jolie released a statement saying it would be a shame if the project was derailed by "unfair pressure based on wrong information".

She added: "My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film."

People planning Croatia holidays can see Bosnia for themselves by booking a place on a Balkan road trip, which will also provide the opportunity to see national parks, cities and locations in Slovenia.

Adriatic cruises are available from ports in Croatia such as Opatija, Dubrovnik and Split.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800134680-ADNFCR
