Visit one of the world's best coastlines on a Croatia cruise

Travellers planning Croatia cruises in the near future will have the opportunity to see why Dalmatia has been voted one of the best coastal areas in the world.

The destination featured highly on a list compiled by National Geographic Traveler magazine, which asked a panel of 340 experts in various fields to rate seafront locations across the world.

Using criteria such as environmental quality, cultural integrity, the condition of historic sites and aesthetic appeal, the judges gave each destination an overall score.

The Dalmatian coast featured in the list of areas that are "doing well" and was praised for a number of features that travellers can enjoy during a Croatia sailing trip, including "rugged natural beauty" and an "immaculate built heritage".

Judges described the area as "certainly one of the jewels of the Mediterranean".

Following the publication of the list, travellers might want to choose Croatia cruises over trips to destinations such as Crete and south-west France, both of which received lower scores than the Dalmatian coast.
