Croatia holidays: Spring 'ideal' for a European break

Croatia holidays: Spring ideal for a European break People planning breaks in Europe, such as Croatia holidays, to make the most of the bonus bank holiday in April next year can look forward to experiencing the continent at a "lovely" time of the year, according to a travel expert.

It was recently confirmed that April 29th 2011 would be a bank holiday to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Workers in the UK will therefore have a total of four days off between April 22nd and May 2nd next year, with Easter and the early May bank holiday also falling in the 11-day period.

People planning Adriatic cruises and other European trips in the spring can enjoy comfortable temperatures and will not have to worry about hectic summer crowds.

Tom Hall, travel editor at Lonely Planet, said: "It is a lovely time to be going to Europe, first and foremost - it will be warm but not too warm, it will be spring everywhere and you will have early summer temperatures.

"In terms of sightseeing there [is likely to be] a fantastic European venue you haven't been to."

Travellers can embark on Croatia holidays from the ports of Opatija, Split and Dubrovnik.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800263258-ADNFCR
