Croatia holidays: Museum night attracts record visitors A recent event to promote Croatia's museums attracted record visitor numbers, it has been revealed.

The Night of the Museums involved several galleries and cultural institutions across the country, many of which holidaymakers can visit during Adriatic cruises.

Venues stayed open late into the night and hosted a number of special exhibitions and activities for guests.

This year's Night of the Museums outing featured 160 different sites in 67 destinations and attracted some 31,659 visitors, the Croatian Times reports.

In addition to major exhibitions, the venues hosted a range of workshops, lectures, performances, concerts, fashion shows and other activities, highlighting some of the cultural experiences on offer to people planning Croatia holidays this year.

Travellers stopping off in Dubrovnik during an Adriatic cruise might be interested in paying a visit to the Dominican Monastery, Natural Science, Maritime and Croatian War of Independence museums, while Split is home to the Mestrovic Gallery and the Archaeological Museum.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800379187-ADNFCR
