Ryanair to serve Croatia holiday hotspot Rijeka

Ryanair will offer a new affordable travel option for people planning Croatia holidays this year.

The low-cost airline is set to introduce a route between London Stansted and the island of Krk, providing access to Rijeka, one of the European country's most important seaports.

People planning Adriatic cruises or Croatia tours this summer will be able to catch twice-weekly flights to the destination from Stansted from April 15th.

Rijeka is one of the destinations on a Balkan road trip route that begins in Split and visits a number of popular destinations including Pag and Zagreb, as well as Postojna and Ljubljana in Slovenia.

Travellers interested in seeing the sights of the region by sea can visit Krk during asailing holiday featuring calls at other picturesque locations such as Zadar, Cres and Opatija.

Ryanair's new route to Rijeka will complement its existing services on offer to people planning Croatia holidays, including links to Zadar and Pula from London Stansted.
