Croatia holidays: EasyJet begins Zagreb flights

EasyJet is making Croatia holidays a more accessible option with a new route to Zagreb.

The airline recently introduced a service to the European capital from London Gatwick airport and will provide five weekly flights to the destination.

British ambassador to Croatia David Blunt was at Zagreb's Pleso airport to greet passengers on the first easyJet journey from Gatwick.

He said: "I am looking forward to this cooperation, which is yet another form of our support for Croatia's entrance into the European Union."

British travellers planning Croatia holidays this year also have the option of catching flights to Split from London Gatwick, Stansted or Bristol airports with easyJet, which also flies to Dubrovnik from Gatwick and Stansted.

The low-cost airline operates an extensive network of services to some of Europe's most popular leisure destinations from Gatwick airport.

Holidaymakers interested in seeing Zagreb can arrange Croatia tours combining the city with other locations across the country and around south-east Europe.
