'World's biggest welcome' for Croatia holiday guests

Worlds biggest welcome for Croatia holiday guests Brits planning Croatia holidays this year are to be offered the 'world's biggest welcome'.

Tourism industry leaders in the country have arranged a special event that is designed to make UK visitors feel at home in the country, the Austrian Times reports.

A team of athletes will use bicycles, kayaks and parachutes to travel along the Adriatic coast on a route that spells out the world 'welcome' on a map of the region.

The group will cover a total of 1,400 miles, starting off in Savudrija in the west of the country this month and finishing in the Adriatic cruise hotspot of Dubrovnik on June 5th.

Introducing the special initiative, one organiser said: "We always get lots of English people here for their holidays but this has been a tough year for everyone and we want them to know that there really will be a very big welcome for them when they get here."

Britons planning Croatia holidays this year can visit destinations like Hvar, Split and Dubrovnik and discover the country's vibrant nightlife and cultural scenes.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800484459-ADNFCR
