'Mini Las Vegas' could provide new Croatia holiday attraction

Mini Las Vegas could provide new Croatia holiday attraction Travellers taking Croatia holidays in future could have the chance to visit a new attraction in Istria.

An American investment group is thought to be planning a Las Vegas-style development in the region that would provide a range of new experiences for visitors.

Provisionally known as World Las Vegas, the planned complex will cover 100 hectares and feature several entertainment facilities, reports the Croatian Times, citing daily newspaper Jutarnji List.

While the popular Croatia holiday destinations of Dubrovnik and Zadar are being considered as locations for the attraction, Istria is thought to be the most likely destination.

Basketball star Kobe Bryant has reportedly been signed up to promote the development, construction of which could begin as early as this year.

Travellers can explore the Istria region before heading to the port of Opatija to embark on an Adriatic cruise or paying a visit to the scenic coastal city of Rijeka on Kvarner Bay.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800508303-ADNFCR
