Zagreb proving more popular for Croatia holidays

Zagreb proving more popular for Croatia holidays Zagreb is proving increasingly popular among people on Croatia holidays, new figures suggest.

Information from the local tourist board shows that approximately 52,350 people visited the city in April, 22 per cent more than in the same month last year, reports the Croatian Times.

Furthermore, there were 90,280 overnight stays in Zagreb, marking a year-on-year increase of 17 per cent.

The majority of people visiting the destination were foreign, with some 40,180 overseas travellers heading to the capital during Croatia holidays, registering more than 68,800 overnight stays.

People planning trips to the city in the near future can visit some of its most popular tourist sites and attractions, such as the Mimara Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art, and the various squares and parks in the city centre.

Croatia tours offer the opportunity to visit destinations such as Split and Plitvice before seeing Zagreb and heading on to Ljubljana, Postojna, Rijeka and Krk.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800534747-ADNFCR
