New summer route could boost Greece to Croatia tours

New summer route could boost Greece to Croatia tours A new flight route being launched next year could boost the popularity of trips from Greece to Croatia.

Low-cost carrier bmibaby announced that it would be introducing a service from East Midlands airport to Corfu in time for the summer 2012 season.

Corfu is a highly popular summer travel destination that serves as the starting point for a Greece to Croatia road trip, featuring stops in Saranda, Berat and Tirana in Albania and Budva and Kotor in Montenegro.

The new route is one of seven due to be introduced by bmibaby next year as part of its ongoing expansion in the Midlands.

Managing director Julian Carr said: "By offering exciting destinations we want to inspire our customers to make the most of our low fares and experience new destinations from their local airport."

Britons planning Croatia holidays this year can travel on bmibaby's current route linking East Midlands airport to the Adriatic cruise port of Dubrovnik.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800549774-ADNFCR
