Croatia tours: Bosnia 'an emerging hotspot'

Croatia tours: Bosnia an emerging hotspot Bosnia-Herzegovina, which visitors can explore during Croatia tours, is an emerging travel hotspot for Brits.

That is according to Skyscanner, the flight search engine, which released a list of destinations that are attracting increasing interest from UK consumers, based on enquiries on the company's site.

Travellers exploring eastern Europe during Croatia tours can stop off in Sarajevo, which was described as a "bullet-scarred but beautiful hillside city".

Lonely Planet named Sarajevo the 43rd best city in the world to visit in 2010, which could have contributed to the 36 per cent increase in flight searches recorded by Skyscanner.

Sam Baldwin, the company's travel editor, said: "It's great to see lesser-known spots receive well-deserved interest from British tourists and Skyscanner's data highlights the growing trend to visit places beyond our normal summer haunts."

Balkan road trips allow travellers to combine Sarajevo and the city of Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina with the Croatia cruise hotspots of Dubrovnik, Split and Korcula.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800634434-ADNFCR
