All boats depart on Saturdays at 1pm except for the Navigator One Way Dubrovnik to Split cruise, which stays in Dubrovnik on Saturday night before sailing early on Sunday morning. 

All boats return to port on the Friday night and you finish early after breakfast on the Saturday morning. Travellers disembark from the boat by 9am. 

Explorer Cruises are aimed at young professionals and young at heart travellers, who are looking for a mix of sightseeing, relaxation and socialising. These cruises sail on a One Way or Return route on our Premier boats. 

Navigator Cruises are aimed at "Like Minded" travellers, i.e. independent travellers aged 21-35. If you want to travel with other like minded travellers, we have exclusive boats throughout the season. Just select the Navigator option when booking. 

Traditional Cruises are suitable for all ages and are popular with couples and mature travellers, sailing on Ensuite and Premier boats. The average age on a Traditional cruise is usually about 45-50.

They usually have 2 beds in them, often bunk beds. On some boats, there is a triple cabin or double bed available. We can check at the time of booking if you request this.

Simply put, above deck is on the main deck of the boat or just above it. Below deck is in the hull of the boat. A benefit with the cheaper below deck is often they are much cooler as they don't heat up as much during the day. The benefit with the above deck is they are on the top of the deck with most above deck cabins opening out to the ocean.

There are pro's and con's to both - the below deck cabins are often quieter at night as you do not have other travellers walking past your cabin as much as the above deck cabins. Above deck cabins offer more natural light and ventilation.

Each boat is unique and therefore the cabin layout does vary from boat to boat.

Please note: On some of the boats the above deck cabins are located on 2 levels, i.e. on deck and upper deck.

 There are no single supplements on the Navigator & Explorer cruises, provided that you are willing to share your cabin with another single traveller. For all other departures, we ask you to travel with a friend as it is often hard to find another single person that is willing to share a room with you. If you don't have a friend who is willing to come, we can sometimes assist in finding someone (most times we do or people ask a friend to come along anyway). However as we cannot guarantee to find someone to share with you we may need to levy a single supplement on some departures.

 Breakfast and lunch is included every day. Dinner is not included as we encourage you to explore the local port towns in the evening to enjoy the local food and wine. We can offer some suggestions on the best places to go. Breakfast is simple continental-style (bread and spreads). You can pay onboard for a cooked English breakfast at a supplement of 40 euros for the week. Lunches are usually 3 courses, with a soup/salad starter, meat or fish-based main course and fruit/cake for dessert.

 Yes. You run the risk of the ferries being full. This happens regularly.

 Each trip has its own appeal. The Navigator cruises are by far the most popular for travellers aged 18 - 35. Explorer cruises are popular with young professionals and young at heart travellers and operate on a One Way route (Split to Dubrovnik or vice versa) or a Return route from Split. Traditional cruises are popular with couples and mature travellers.

 Some benefits over ferries include us visiting all the hidden spots. We stop for a swim and time to discover small bays and islands. Try doing this on a ferry with 100's of other passengers. We also stop at local ports so you discover the towns and nightlife in the evenings. Plus you don't need to carry your bags around to find accommodation.

 Our crews are Croatian. They are local people showing you the best of their own culture.

Most passengers who join us for HIt The Deck are generally younger travellers, friends and groups of friends up for a good time - usually aged between 18 and 24.

 Our Navigator boats are mainly English-speaking travellers (usually Australian, New Zealand, British & South African travellers). Our Explorer boats are a broader mix of Antipodeans, British and Europeans.

 It is usually possible to catch up with the boat by ferry and/or bus/taxi. The options depend on the route you are booked on: Navigator Return: Boat will be in Hvar on Saturday night. In the afternoon, you can catch a ferry/hydrofoil from Split to Hvar Town. In the evenings, there is a ferry to Stari Grad on Hvar island (2 hours) and you can get a taxi from here to Hvar Town (25 mins). Navigator One Way Split to Dubrovnik: Boat will be in Omis on Saturday night. You can catch a bus from Split to Omis (approx. 1 hour) Navigator One Way Dubrovnik to Split: The boat will be in Gruz harbour in Dubrovnik on Saturday night and leaves early on Sunday morning. If you arrived on Sunday, you could overnight in Dubrovnik and catch a ferry to Korcula on Monday to meet up with the boats on Monday night. Explorer Split to Dubrovnik: Boat will be in Makarska on Saturday night. You can catch a bus from Split to Makarska (approx. 1 hour 15 mins) Explorer Dubrovnik to Split: The boat will be in Mljet on Saturday night which has minimal ferry connections from Dubrovnik. You can catch a ferry to Korcula on Sunday and meet up with the boat here on Sunday night. Explorer Return: The boat will be in Makarska on Saturday night. You can catch a bus from Split to Makarska (approx. 1 hour 15 mins).

The boats are owned and operated by their crew who often sail in the summer and work on their boats or at other professions in the winter. They are locally owned and are often from the small ports you will visit along the way. Our operations team in Croatia ensures all boats and crew operate to a high standard. We use your feedback to monitor the ongoing success of our operations. 

 If your group can fill the whole boat, we reward the group leader with a free below deck place on the boat. Our smallest boat takes 35 people and the largest accommodates 44 people. Please give us a call to discuss this package in more detail.

On average there are 4 or 5 bathroom/toilets on the Standard boats. Ratio is around 1 bathroom/shower to 5-6 travellers.

You cannot bring food and drink onboard the boat, except for specific dietary requirements. Each boat has its own bar and drinks consumed onboard (including bottled water) must be purchased from here. You can pay a supplement onboard of 100 Kunas for the week which entitles you to 1 litre of bottled water per day.

We don't cook specifically for vegetarians or travellers with special meal requests. Lunch usually includes soup or pasta as a starter, some meat or fish, vegetables as side dish, salad and dessert. Vegetarians will enjoy larger amounts of vegetables and salad. To have it on your plate from the first day of the cruise, please advise us at the time of your booking that you are vegetarian. If you are allergic to some sorts of food, please specify in advance what it includes. We will put a note beside your name on the list of guests so the crew can be prepared. At the time of your check-in, please introduce yourself to your cook or waiter so they are aware of who you are and you can discuss anything in particular with them.

It is difficult to specify the money that you can spend per day, however as a general rule 25 Euros to 30 Euros or GB £25 to £30 per day can provide you with additional meals and optional entrances.

Yes. There are European 2 pin-style points which can be used for charging phones, cameras and use of hairdryers, etc. These are different for each boat but are generally located in the main salon area on all boats and in the cabins for Ensuite/Premier/Premier Plus boats only.

Essentially the boats are motor cruisers which enable the boats to take in more islands and get from point to point as per the schedule. Sails do go up on the boats if the winds are good but the wind isn't reliable enough to allow the boats to keep to the itineraries so we cruise using the engine most of the time.

Easyjet, Norwegian, Wizzair and Croatia Airlines fly into Split on a regular basis from the UK. Many travellers also fly into Ancona and catch the overnight ferry to Split on Friday night at 9pm and arrive Saturday morning at 7am. Overnight ferries go most nights but not all. Please check the departure dates before booking your flights. You can visit www.jadrolinija.hr to view timetables and connections.

Once your booking has been confirmed we will email you your pre-departure documents and you will be able to apply at the Croatian Embassy. It is a simple formality for the Croatian Embassy to process which rarely encounters problems. If you plan on visiting Bosnia you will also need a visa for entry here. Please note that if you plan on catching a bus between Split and Dubrovnik, the route goes through Bosnia.

Most do but not all, however there will be at least one crew member that will speak English on the boat and they will be responsible for looking after you. You can expect to encounter traditional people with traditional values. They are excellent hosts and go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic trip.

This depends on the size of the boats. They are all different sizes and accommodate from 18 to 44 people. The average Standard boat size is around 25 people. Ensuite boats accommodate on average 30 people, with the Premier ships taking an average of 38 people.

Each group has a group leader. This person is responsible for coordinating with each of you to ensure you all know what boat you are on. Please advise us if you have friends who have already booked and we can add you on to their booking.

The boats are located in Split harbour opposite the main train and bus stations. If you are flying into Split there are airport shuttle buses which take you to the main bus terminal (45 minutes). If you are coming to Split another way you will see the bus station at the southern end of the harbour. Look out for the name of your boat and our representative will be there to meet you.

There are direct flights from London to Zadar with Ryanair and Croatia Airlines. Airport shuttle buses operate from the airport to the main bus station and the old town (approx. 25 Kunas per person).

The boats will be moored in Gruz harbour in Dubrovnik, which is about 5-10 minutes on the bus from the old town. The main bus station is in Gruz harbour and the boats are about 5 minutes walk from here. From the airport, there is a regular shuttle bus service which stops at the old town first before going on to the bus station in Gruz harbour. The shuttle bus takes an hour. Look out for the name of your boat and our representative will be there to meet you.
