| Wednesday, 09 December 2009 10:55 |
Travellers might be interested in paying a visit to Dubrovnik during future Adriatic cruises after hearing that it
was found to be one of Europe's most popular beach destinations.Trivago.co.uk asked hotel guests to rate their experiences at some of the leading summer holiday hotspots across the continent. Dubrovnik featured in the top five along with Belek on the Turkish Riviera, Binz in Germany, Sorrento on Italy's Amalfi coast and Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira. People planning Croatia sailing holidays can visit Dubrovnik to relax on one of its many beaches or explore the historic old town. The city features on Adriatic cruise itineraries that also include stops in destinations such as Split on the Dalmatian coast and the islands of Hvar, Korcula and Makarska. There were also some surprise findings in the trivago.co.uk research, with the English summer holiday hotspot of Blackpool found to be more popular than Benidorm on Spain's Costa Blanca. ![]() |
