Travellers who enjoy learning about the culture and history of their holiday destinations should pay a visit to Dubrovnik during
an Adriatic cruise this year.The city is home to the Croatian War of Independence Museum, which is located in a wing of Fort Imperial on Mount Srd. People planning Croatia sailing holidays this year can visit the attraction between March 22nd and November 2nd, when its summer opening hours will see visitors welcomed between 09:00 and 18:00 local time every day. Around 500 exhibits feature in the main display at the museum, offering an insight into the significance of Dubrovnik during the Croatian War of Independence, which was fought between 1991 and 1995. Items on show include documentary photographs, weapons, maps, military equipment, pieces of art and everyday objects that belonged to local residents and soldiers who fought to defend the city.
