 Dubrovnik's new funicular is expected to open on July 10th, the Croatian Times has reported.Visitors to the historic city may want to see what has been described as a "cliff railway". The tourist attraction was huge with domestic and foreign tourists before the war. It was abandoned and become a mild curiosity for climbers and trekkers in the region. However, all Croatia travellers will now be able to see the city from an incredible perspective. Those planning to go on their Croatia holidays in this time should consider combining their trip with the opening of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The festival is a cultural highlight on the city's calendar. It runs from July 10th to 25th August, meaning that it's possible to catch some of its happenings whenever you go in the summer. Arts lovers of all kinds could be served by the international showcase of music, poetry and theatre.  |
