Travellers planning a Croatia holiday should consider booking now, as the country becomes one of the most popular
European destinations this year. The first weekend of July saw tourism surge in the region, according to a report in Croatian Times. According to the paper, last weekend Dubrovnik airport saw visitors rock by close to a third (30 per cent) on last year. After suffering an economic downturn last year, the country is once again attracting huge numbers. In an interview, the deputy airport director Frano Luetic said that the ten per cent increase in traffic seen in the last two months could continue over high summer. Croatia has also been the talk of travel supplements this summer, representing both value for money for the weak pound, as well as something 'a bit different'. Travellers who want to see a different side to the country and have a truly memorable holiday could consider a Croatia sailing or cycling holiday. ![]() |
