 Travellers who enjoy nothing more than relaxing by the sea might be interested in taking an Adriatic cruise
this year to visit a city that has been ranked among the world's best beach destinations.Comparison site Kelkoo rated several coastal hotspots around the world using a range of criteria, from climate and the quality of food to exchange rates and the affordability of local goods and services. Dubrovnik, one of the most popular Croatia sailing holiday destinations, was listed seventh overall. The coastal city appeared ahead of well-established hotspots such as Larnaca in Cyprus, the Greek island of Crete and Spain's Balearic islands. Commenting on the results, Bruce Fair, managing director of Kelkoo UK, highlighted the importance of affordability for travellers. "In the current climate, British holidaymakers seem to be more cost-conscious than ever," he said. Adriatic cruise passengers can combine Dubrovnik with other popular beach hotspots such as Hvar and Makarska.  |
