People with an interest in art can stop off in Dubrovnik during a Croatia cruise this summer to
see an exhibition celebrating Alberto Giacometti.Born in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland in 1901, Giacometti was a key figure in the Surrealist movement and is now regarded as one of the most influential and popular sculptors of the 20th century. The exhibition in Dubrovnik has been organised in collaboration with the Foundation Giacometti and Kunsthaus Zurich. Travellers taking Adriatic cruises can visit the show to see a selection of around 160 works that provide a thorough introduction to the artist's work and a survey of some of his most prominent themes and techniques. In addition to sculptures, the display includes a range of paintings, drawings and lithographs created between 1949 and 1965. Holidaymakers enjoying Croatia cruises should visit the Dubrovnik Art Gallery in the heart of the city before October 3rd to see the exhibition. ![]() |
