| Croatia holidays: Autumn 'ideal time to visit Dubrovnik' |

Travellers planning Croatia holidays this year should consider visiting Dubrovnik once the busy summer season has calmed down, according
to a Guardian travel writer.Nicola Iseard listed Dubrovnik as one of the top ten destinations to visit for a "sunny short-haul" break in the autumn months. She pointed out that the city can get very busy during the summer, with tourists flooding its streets and beaches. Autumn "brings out the best of Dubrovnik", according to Ms Iseard, providing a "tranquil, laidback" atmosphere for visitors to enjoy during a Croatia holiday. While the sea is still warm enough for swimming, the weather during the autumn months is less humid than the summer, allowing for a more comfortable exploration of the city. Dubrovnik is one of the most popular destinations among people taking Adriatic cruises and can be combined with other tourist hotspots such as the historic city of Split and the idyllic islands of Korcula and Hvar. ![]() |
