 People planning Dubrovnik cruises have been encouraged to try local oysters.Romana Vlasic, manager of the Dubrovnik Convention and Incentive Bureau, which is part of the local tourist board, said that the cuisine on offer in and around the city is a popular attraction. She recommended the region's oysters as some of the best in the world and also encouraged people taking Croatia holidays to check out some of the cultural events on offer. "There are many events throughout the year. The Dubrovnik Summer Festival is one of the most important … This year it will be the 62nd time," said Ms Vlasic. "It's a popular gastronomy destination. The oysters from the Dubrovnik region are among the best in the world." Croatia holidays provide the opportunity to combine the city with some of the Adriatic's most attractive islands and coastal hotspots, including Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, and historic Hvar.  |
