Anyone considering a Croatia holiday should look to Hvar, because of the buzz coming back from previous visitors talking
to Lonely Planet. That is according to Tom Hall, a writer for the Lonely Planet, a leading travel guide published in the UK. Speaking in a recent interview, Mr Hall admitted that the company is continually hearing positive things about Hvar. Situated off the Dalmatian coast, Hvar has a reputation as one of the top destinations for sailing holidays in Croatia. Visitors obviously agree too, with Hall explaining that the firm is hearing from travellers who are exploring Europe throughout the year. "People come back buzzing about various places - Hvar in Croatia is a classic example of this," he said. "They say, 'it's a really fantastic place, you should be talking about it a bit more."' Lonely Planet recently singled out Hvar for particular praise after naming the island as one of its top ten holiday regions in the world for 2012. ![]() |
