Hvar, which has been described as "delightful" in a recent newspaper article.Mail on Sunday travel editor Frank Barrett visited Hvar during a sailing holiday in the Mediterranean. He pointed out that Hvar has been described as "the loveliest of the Dalmatian islands". Mr Barrett said it was "easy to see why" the destination has received glowing reviews from people who have taken Croatia sailing holidays and other journeys along the Adriatic coast. Offering his own description of Hvar, the writer summed it up as "a sort of mini-Dubrovnik: in many ways just as pretty but with hardly any tourists". People planning Croatia sailing holidays can visit Hvar as part of a journey that also takes in Split, Korcula, Dubrovnik and other popular destinations along the coast.
