Hvar could prove a popular stop on Croatia sailing holiday itineraries when its summer events season gets underway
in May.The Croatian National Tourist Board confirmed that the island's summer cultural programme will begin on May 1st and continue until June 30th next year. Special events are arranged every year to celebrate the destination's artistic heritage. Travellers will be able to visit Hvar during Adriatic cruises to see shows by visiting theatre troupes, live music concerts and shows by local folk ensembles. Major events will be taking place in various other destinations across Croatia in 2010, such as the ever-popular summer festivals in Split and Dubrovnik, which attract thousands of visitors every year. Croatia sailing holidays provide the opportunity for visitors to combine several locations dotted along the Adriatic coast. One itinerary starts and finishes in Dubrovnik, visiting Hvar, Korcula, Trstenik and other destinations along the way. Travellers can also choose an Adriatic cruise that sets off from Split and takes in Zadar, Vodice and Trogir. ![]() |
