| Thursday, 11 June 2009 13:20 |
Croatia sailing holidays will offer travellers the opportunity to visit Makarska this year as the town hosts its
annual summer culture festival.Running from June right up until the end of September, the festival includes various events, concerts and exhibitions for travellers to experience. One of the highlights is the Harmony Singing Festival, which sees talented vocalists perform alongside mandolin players and guitarists. There will also be events to entertain sports fans, including a streetball tournament and a swimming marathon. The Makarska Carnival will be one of the most memorable occasions for travellers to attend during their Croatia sailing holidays, while the line-up of plays and exhibitions will offer a slightly more relaxing alternative. Along with the likes of Split and Dubrovnik, Makarska is one of Croatia's most popular tourist hotspots. Its location on the Adriatic coast makes it an ideal stopping point on Croatia sailing trips, giving holidaymakers the chance to see sights such as the harbour and St Mark's Cathedral. ![]() |
