 People planning Adriatic cruises next year have been encouraged to pay a visit to Makarska to sample some
of its culinary offerings.According to the local tourist board, the unique combination of Mediterranean dishes on offer in Makarska provides a "surprise" for the palate. There are several pizzerias worth visiting in the area, such as Oz and Riva on Kralja Zvonimira and Marineta near the seafront. Travellers who visit Makarska during their Croatia sailing holidays can try a more extensive range of cuisine in the town's restaurants, with Adrion at Hotel Biokovo and El Toro among the most popular eateries. The destination is also home to several sweet shops where visitors can pick up some tasty treats to take home, as well as bars and pubs offering refreshing drinks in a comfortable atmosphere.
