Split to see a tree that was recently planted to symbolise peace and tolerance.The olive tree was planted by Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, an Indian yoga teacher, guru and founder of the system Yoga in Daily Life. Andelka Viskovic, deputy mayor of Split, joined the city's special guest to plant the olive tree, which will also stand as a representation of the importance of environmental preservation. Travellers who visit Split during their Croatia sailing holidays will be able to see the tree in a green area near the Golden Gate, which serves as the entrance to the old town. After the seeds were planted in the ground, the ceremony attendees exchanged gifts to mark the occasion.
