Fans of the legendary band U2 could have the opportunity to combine one of their live shows with a Croatia sailing holiday next year.Plans to arrange a U2 gig in Split emerged following a meeting between city mayor Zeljko Kerum and two representatives of the football club Hajduk Split, the Croatian Times reports. An offer has reportedly been made to host a performance in Hajduk Split's stadium, which could make the destination a popular stop on Croatia sailing holiday itineraries if it is successful. The event could also provide the opportunity to enhance the field at the football venue, which is currently in a bad state. U2 embarked on a major arena tour this year to support the release of their latest album, No Line on the Horizon, which came out in February. Travellers interested in seeing Split during a Croatia sailing holiday can choose an itinerary that starts and finishes in the city, visiting Dubrovnik, Hvar and other destinations along the way. ![]() |
