Asif Rangoonwala, chairman and chief executive of the Powerboat P1 racing series, has predicted a bright future for Split, a
popular coastal destination in Croatia that travellers can visit during Adriatic cruises. He was speaking at the World Travel Market in London to promote the powerboat race that will be held in Split next year, the Croatian Times reports. The event could encourage sports fans to visit the city during Croatia sailing holidays and will boost its profile around the world. Mr Rangoonwala said: "Split has great opportunities and we believe it will know how to use them and to promote itself as a nautical tourism centre." Travellers interested in seeing the powerboat race as part of a Croatia sailing holiday should visit Splitbetween April 15th and 19th next year. Visitors can also take some time to walk along the city's picturesque seafront or see some historical attractions such as Diocletian's Palace. ![]() |
