Travellers who stop off in Split during a Croatia sailing holiday this year will have the opportunity to
visit some of its museums.The quality of the city's cultural institutes was highlighted during Museum Night, which took place last Friday (January 29th). Admission to 116 museums and galleries across the country was free during the event, which ran from 18:00 to 01:00 local time, the Croatian Times reports. The initiative attracted some 42,000 visitors to attractions in Split, some of which can be visited as part of a Croatia sailing holiday. Zagreb Museum was one of the most popular locations, with a total of 161,000 people visiting the venue, while Zadar, Rijeka and Osijek also saw an increase in visitation. Museum Night was founded six years ago as a way of promoting cultural education. Travellers who visitSplit during a Croatia sailing holiday can see the exhibits on display at institutes such as the City Museum, the Ivan Mestrovic Gallery and the Ethnographic Museum. ![]() |
