Split will be a popular stop on Adriatic cruise routes during the summer months as it hosts a
varied line-up of cultural and entertainment events. The Croatian National Tourist Board revealed that, between July 14th and August 14th, Split is "transformed into a city of stage arts". Holidaymakers enjoying Adriatic cruises will be able to experience all sorts of events in the coastal city during the peak summer period, including jazz concerts and street theatre performances. There will also be several celebrations of more traditional art forms, including opera productions performed by respected companies and theatre groups from around the world. One of the most popular places to gather during the summer cultural season is Diocletian's Palace, the streets around which play host to live music shows, plays, exhibitions and more. People planning to take a Croatia sailing holiday and visit Split between August 20th and 30th will be able to experience Ten Days of Diocletian, a festival that sees the city centre turned into an ancient Roman community. ![]() |
