People visiting Split during Adriatic cruises this summer might have the chance to hear some local music. The Split 2011 festival is set to return to the city from July 1st to 3rd, reports the Croatian Times. Based near Diocletian's Palace - a highly popular attraction for travellers to look out for during Croatia holidays - the festival has a history stretching back more than 50 years. Among the acts due to perform this year are the band Studio Frendo, who are set to play an unusual song telling a story inspired by the myth of the Loch Ness monster, according to the Croatian Times. Split will offer a range of memorable experiences for people visiting the city during Adriatic cruises this year, many of which will be on offer as part of the annual summer festival, which will run from July 14th to August 14th. The cultural celebration will include opera productions, plays, ballets, exhibitions and more. ![]() |
