 Sailing holidays in Croatia offer the opportunity to visit a beach that has been nominated for an award.In its inaugural awards programme, Beach Tomato, a website that combines beach culture, fashion and beauty, listed Stiniva on the island of Vis as one of the coastal locations offering the best 'head space'. The site described Vis as a "little gem" and highlighted some of the experiences on offer to travellers visiting the destination during Adriatic cruises and other trips. "With the serene Adriatic Sea lapping at the picture-perfect 30-metre stretch of smooth pebbles, Stiniva proves when it comes to beach beauty, size and sand don't always matter," it said. Winners of the awards - which also recognise water quality, urban beaches and islands around the world - will be announced on June 28th. Vis is one of the destinations visited on a Croatia sailing holiday that begins in Split and also sails to Korcula, Lastovo, Starigrad and Stomorska.  |
