Croatian National Tourist Office director Meri Matesic has unveiled plans to market the "unique gastronomy" of a Croatia holiday
to UK vacationers.October will see Croatia host a variety of popular food-based festivals with delicacies like sweet chestnuts and white truffles set to feature. Mr Matesic is keen to highlight these festivals to more UK holidaymakers too, after signing an agreement with Rooster PR. The company will be responsible for marketing these cultural culinary events to UK travellers. They could have their hands full too with Mr Matesic keen to also focus on the popular mix of music festivals and sailing holidays in Croatia. “With such a diverse and unique tourism offering we’re looking to attract even more visitors from the UK and Ireland in 2012,” Mr Matesic said. The Balkan country boasts a stunning variety of holiday options spread across 1,244 islands that provide the perfect opportunity to cruise in the waters around Croatia. Mr Matesic has spoken previously on the appeal of a Croatia holiday too, highlighting "the good value for money it offers, plus the irrefutably stunning natural and cultural beauty" of the region. ![]() |
