Travellers enjoying Croatia sailing holidays this month will have the chance to visit Dubrovnik as it hosts one
of the biggest events on its cultural calendar. The fifth Libertas Film Festival will run from June 26th to 30th this year, bringing a host of new feature films and documentaries to the so-called Pearl of the Adriatic. Some big names from the movie world have been attracted to Dubrovnik to attend the festival in the past, including comedy favourite Owen Wilson and Academy Award-winning actor Chris Cooper. This year, people on Croatia sailing holidays will be able to stop off in Dubrovnik to see screenings of films including Genova, a drama starring Colin Firth. The festival will also include a Midnight Madness section dedicated to extreme cinema, which will include the French horror Martyrs and Nazi-zombie flick Dead Snow. People planning Croatia sailing holidays later in the year will have the chance to experience another highlight in the country's cultural calendar, the Dubrovnik Festival, which will run from July 10th to August 25th. Several Croatia sailing itineraries feature Dubrovnik, including the Navigator return cruise. ![]() |
