Music fans should have no trouble finding live entertainment in Split during Croatia sailing holidays this month as
the city hosts a jazz event. The Split Jazz Festival will be held at venues in the centre of the city from August 24th to 27th. Renowned jazz singers and bands from across Croatia and Europe visit Split to take part in this event, giving performances at city theatres and on the Prokurative. The Prokurative is one of many locations that people on Croatia sailing holidays should look out for during a visit to Split. Officially known as Trg Republike, or Republic Square, the complex was built in the second half of the 19th century on the site of a former garden by Napoleon's general Marmont. People who have an interest in history can keep an eye out for several attractions in Split during their Croatia sailing holidays, such as the Diocletian Palace, the cathedral of St Duje and Jupiter's temple. ![]() |
