Travellers planning to spend some time on the Dalmatian coast before embarking on Croatia sailing holidays next spring
will have the opportunity to see a unique sporting spectacle. It was recently confirmed that the first rounds of the 2010 P1 Powerboat World Championship will be held in Split. The high-octane sporting contest is due to be held on the weekend of April 16th to 18th, a week before the Croatia sailing holiday season gets underway on April 24th. After paying a visit to Split, Powerboat P1 chairman Asif Rangoonwala predicted that the event in Croatia next year will be "one of the greatest ever races staged by Powerboat P1 and an outstanding start to next year's series", Powerboat-World.com reports. There are three races still to be held before the end of the 2009 season, which are due to take place in Stresa, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. People who choose to take a Croatia sailing holiday in April will benefit from some of the lowest prices of the year and can select itineraries that include stops in Split, Makarska and other destinations. ![]() |
