Culture-lovers have been given more time to take in one of the most popular art exhibitions to be staged in Zagreb
for some time as part of a Croatia sailing holiday. The Zagreb-Munich-Croatian Painting and the Academy of Fine Arts exhibition has been hailed as a unique insight into the international art scene of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It has already attracted more than 10,000 visitors in its first few weeks, the Croatian Times reported. Now, it has been confirmed that the works will be kept on display at the Art Pavillion, located in the heart of Croatia's vibrant capital, until the end of January at the earliest. This means travellers taking Croatia cruises over the New Year will be able to head to the celebrated venue and take in the works of more than 90 of Croatia's finest artists, many of which have been on display overseas for some time. One of the highlights of a Croatian sailing holiday, Zagreb is also home to the national Archaeological Museum, which boasts one of the world's finest Egyptology collections, with exhibits including the world-famous Zagreb Mummy. ![]() |
