A visit to Mljet National Park could prove an attractive option for people taking Croatia cruises this year
as the destination celebrates its 50th anniversary. The Dubrovnik Tourist Board described the location as "one of the most important tourist attractions in the region". People planning Croatia sailing holidays can visit Mljet during an Adriatic cruise that begins in Split, one of the country's most popular seafront cities. The itinerary also includes stops in Makarska, Dubrovnik and either the isle of Sipan or the town of Trstenik on the Peljesac peninsula. A number of events will be taking place in Mljet National Park to mark the site's 50th anniversary, including a scientific conference at Hotel Odisej. There will also be a multimedia exhibition in Zagreb featuring photographs, films, books and documents relating to Mljet. Along with national parks and cities, Croatia cruises provide the opportunity for travellers to see some of the country's finest islands, such as Hvar, Korcula and Vis. ![]() |
