Britons taking overseas breaks, such as Croatia holidays, are most interested in culture and sightseeing, according to a
recent survey.Nearly all of the consumers polled by Lonely Planet put cultural sights at the top of their list of holiday priorities, TravelMole reports. The research also identified a strong interest in nature and scenery, with 89 per cent of people saying this is what they look for on their travels, while food and drink (83 per cent) is also important. Only 32 per cent of respondents said one of their main aims during a break is to relax by the pool. People planning Adriatic cruises and other Croatia holidays this year can absorb some of the culture and history on offer in cities such as Dubrovnik and Split, or explore the naturalenvironments of Hvar, Vis and other islands. Lonely Planet's survey found that 63 per cent of British people would be willing to change their lifestyle to ensure they could afford a holiday. ![]() |
